CREATIVE OPTION

The Creative Plan at International Torah Academy (ITA) is tailored for parents with higher education and/or smicha (for fathers), allowing them to design a customized curriculum that meets their child’s unique needs while aligning with Torah values.

Eligibility and Requirements:

  • Curriculum Design: Parents with the required qualifications can create a personalized curriculum that reflects their educational philosophy and their child’s learning style.

  • Curriculum Approval: A Curriculum Approval Form must be submitted to ITA to ensure the proposed plan meets basic educational standards and aligns with ITA’s values.

  • Weekly Study Hour Sheet: Parents are required to submit a weekly study hour sheet, documenting the time spent on each subject to maintain accountability and structure.

  • Selective Homework Submission: Assignments must be submitted selectively according to ITA’s Assignment Submission Policy, providing oversight while allowing for flexibility in how work is evaluated.

  • End-of-Year Reports: Parents must submit end-of-year reports that summarize the student’s progress. Grading is done jointly according to ITA’s policies, ensuring consistency and academic integrity.

The Creative Plan offers the freedom to tailor your child’s education while maintaining a structured framework that supports their academic and spiritual growth through joint grading and guided accountability.

GUIDED OPTION

The Guided Plan at International Torah Academy (ITA) is designed for families who want to build a customized curriculum with the guidance and support of ITA’s experienced educators. This collaborative approach blends parental input with expert advice, creating a balanced and tailored educational experience that reflects Torah values.

Features and Requirements:

  • Collaborative Curriculum Design: Parents work closely with ITA to design a personalized curriculum that combines the family's educational vision with ITA’s structured guidance, ensuring a well-rounded learning plan.

  • Curriculum Approval and Support: ITA provides ongoing support in curriculum development and adjustments, helping align the chosen subjects and materials with educational goals and Torah standards.

  • Weekly Study Hour Submission: Parents submit a weekly study hour sheet to ITA, documenting the hours dedicated to each subject. This helps maintain accountability and ensures the curriculum stays on track.

  • Regular Assignment Submissions: Students are required to submit assignments regularly as outlined in ITA’s Assignment Submission Policy. This consistent feedback loop allows for timely adjustments and support where needed.

  • Joint Grading and End-of-Year Reports: At the end of the year, a comprehensive report is submitted, and grading is conducted jointly according to ITA’s policies, blending parent evaluations with ITA’s oversight to ensure academic integrity.

The Guided Plan offers a partnership approach, empowering parents to actively shape their child’s education while benefiting from the expertise and structure provided by ITA. This plan ensures that students receive a tailored, Torah-based education with the support and accountability needed for success.

IN-HOUSE OPTION

The In-House Plan at International Torah Academy (ITA) provides a comprehensive, integrated curriculum that seamlessly blends Kodesh (Jewish studies) and secular subjects, creating a holistic educational experience deeply rooted in Torah values. This plan offers a structured approach, combining academic excellence with spiritual growth, tailored to meet each student’s developmental stage.

Key Features:

  • Integrated Curriculum: The In-House Plan offers a fully integrated curriculum that connects Kodesh and secular studies, providing a cohesive learning experience where Torah values underpin every subject. Daily lessons are designed around the weekly parsha, with activities and learning objectives tailored to each grade level.

  • Customizable Kodesh Component: Parents may opt-out of the Kodesh portion if they have their own qualified teacher for these subjects, except for Lashon Kodesh, which remains a required course through ITA to ensure consistent language skills in Torah study.

  • Self-Paced Online High School: For high school students, the In-House Plan transitions to a self-paced online format, allowing teens to manage their learning schedule while meeting the rigorous standards set by ITA. This format encourages independence while still providing structured guidance.

  • Pen-and-Paper Curriculum for Younger Grades: For kindergarten, elementary, and middle school, ITA offers a printed, pen-and-paper curriculum that parents supervise and teach at home. Each day’s lessons and activities are carefully laid out, with a focus on hands-on learning that aligns with the weekly parsha, creating a consistent and engaging educational rhythm.

  • Daily and Activity-Based Learning: The curriculum is meticulously organized by day and activity, ensuring that learning is dynamic, immersive, and directly connected to the values and teachings of the Torah. Activities are grade-specific, allowing students to explore the parsha and related subjects at their own level of understanding.

  • Parental Involvement and Supervision: While ITA provides the full curriculum, parents play an active role in supervising and facilitating learning, especially in the younger grades, fostering a close connection between home and education.

The In-House Plan offers a rich, Torah-centered educational journey, integrating every aspect of learning with a strong foundation in Jewish values. Whether through self-paced online studies or guided pen-and-paper lessons, ITA’s In-House Plan supports students in developing both academically and spiritually, equipping them with the knowledge and skills for lifelong success.
